THE FUTURE WE ENVISION FOR OUR CHILDREN
IS ONLY POSSIBLE IN
A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT.
The choices we make contribute to environmental,
health and economic conditions that
THREATEN OUR WELL-BEING
AND THAT OF OUR CHILDREN.
What would be
THE IMPACT OF A 5°C INCREASE
in Turkey?
The consequences of global warming will
MOST PROBABLY SURPRISE YOU.
In a sense, protecting the environment is synonymous with protecting the economy. You can’t grow, or even maintain, the economy without protecting the environment. Turning a blind eye to climate change would eventually damage economic growth and stability.

WHAT NEXT?
The economic and social losses portrayed by these projections are similar to those caused by the great wars and economic crises in the first half of the 20th century. These projected losses, however, would be irreversable. Some claim that should carbondioxide emissions continue to increase at their current pace, the effects of climate change would be sudden and drastic.
And how about our health?
Environmental factors that cause air pollution expose us, and the people we care about, to fatal health problems.
According to World Health Organization data, together with particulate matter, air pollution reduces life expectancy in Europe by 8.6 months. Black carbon is reported as one of the highest-ranking carcinogens in humans — this category also includes other carcinogens such as tobacco, asbestos, plutonium, among many others.
And how about our health?
We have already shown you the gases a typical car engine releases in the atmosphere. But do you really know how they affect you?
In summer 2007, two major heat waves hit southeastern Europe and Mediterranean countries, pushing electricity usage to record levels and killing 40 people.
And how about our health?
Worldwide, a record 3.2m people a year died from air pollution in 2010, compared with 800,000 in 2000. (The Guardian, Pollution from Car Emissions Killing Millions in China and India, 17 December, 2012)
World Health Organization argues that the reduction of pollution caused by black carbon emissions from 70microgram to 20microgram per cubic meter would cut down air pollution related deaths by 15%.
And how about our health?
Air pollution now ranks for the first time in the World's top 10 list of killer diseases. (The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study)
The automobiles we drive and
THE FUELS WE USE ARE
ONE OF THESE THREATS.
While there are many factors that threaten our future, the simplest way to take action is
TO START WITH OUR FUEL CONSUMPTION.
GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS
LPG protects the environment, making it possible for us to realize
THE FUTURE WE ENVISAGE
FOR OUR CHILDREN.
We have the power to choose better.

HOW INFORMED ARE YOU ABOUT THE RISKS OF CLIMATE CHANGE?
Air pollution is one of the top 10 causes of death today.
While a 5°C rise in global temperatures may cause the warming of the weather, it will not pose any major threat for people.
Toxins released into the atmosphere by traditional motor fuels are classified under the same category as carcinogens such as asbestos, tobacco, and plutonium.
Environmental problems are important, but they will not have any effect on our daily lives for at least a century more.
Rising temperatures push up food prices.
For many countries, climate change may be considered as a major threat to national security.
The air pollution-related health problems in the European Union member states are expected to cost EUR 50 billion in a year.
Alternative fuels are still very costly for many people.
Climate change is a part of the normal process that the Earth is going through. Such changes have also been seen before.
There is so little I can do about climate change.
TEST YOUR DRIVING HABITS
Regularly serviced vehicles operate more smoothly and help reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Under-inflated tires increase fuel consumption.
Starting to drive immediately after starting the engine may damage your vehicle.
Opening the windows of your vehicle will help you save fuel.
You will compromise on performance when you prefer alternative fuels.
Driving your vehicle correctly helps you save fuel.
Driving slowly in traffic will reduce your fuel consumption.
Switching off the engine in traffic will result in increased fuel consumption.
The heavier the vehicle, the more the engine works.
Maintaining your following distance and driving on the flow speed of traffic will help you drive more efficiently.
HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR FUEL?
Cleaner alternative fuels are still too expensive for consumers
Thanks to its extensive filling station network, LPG has become one of the most accessible fuel alternatives in Turkey.
LPG tanks are one of the leading causes of fire today.
It is dangerous to have an LPG tank in your trunk.
Maintenance of an LPG-powered vehicle costs more than the maintenance of gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles.
LPG is a clean fuel that helps protect the environment.
Alternative fuels may be cleaner, but their performance is poorer.
All LPG products are the same.
It’s enough to be careful only about exhaust emissions to protect the environment
LPG may be preferred in Turkey because it is an economical option, but it has yet to become a preferred alternative fuel option in other countries.
